The Tojo Theatre in the Reitschule Bern has been an important venue for the independent performing arts in Bern since 1987. As a collectively run guest theatre, it stages around 50 productions per season, including theatre, dance, performance art, readings and cabaret. The varied programme focuses on diversity, formal experimentation and socially critical perspectives. With its open, independent structure, the Tojo offers space for new theatrical forms and lively encounters between artists and audiences.
The Tojo Theatre is an integral part of the auawirleben venues.
Here you will find all the events taking place at the Tojo.
